George James Selway was born in a village in South Wales, United Kingdom and now lives in Castellar del Valles, Barcelona, Spain. He studied art for three years at Swansea College of Art and later at Trinity College, Carmarthen and later became the Head of a highly successful Art Department at a London School. He left teaching and moved to Walsingham in Norfolk where he was able to concentrated on his painting. He has exhibited extensively in various galleries in the United Kingdom and Spain and his work has been purchased by private collectors in the USA and throughout Europe. He paints with oil, acrylic and watercolour and his subject matter is extensive to include landscapes, city scenes and figures. He tends to choose particular areas as a source for his paintings: various regions of Spain, Southern France, Italy, Morocco, England and his native Wales.
