Clarice Cliff (20 January 1899 - 23 October 1972) was an English ceramic industrial artist active from 1922 to 1963. Cliff was born in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, England. She was one of the most important and prolific designers of the 20th century. Between 1927 and 1940 Cliff designed more than five hundred shapes, and 2000 patterns.Her Art Deco designs show her sense of fun and love of modern fashion. Clarice Cliff is highly collectable internationally, and the pieces are still practical for use today.
